Unloaders

In a pressure washing system, an unloader is a valve or device that helps regulate the pressure of the water that is being discharged from the pump. The unloader is typically installed on the outlet side of the pump and works by diverting some of the water flow back to the inlet side of the pump, which reduces the pressure of the water that is being discharged.

When a pressure washer is turned on, the pump will begin to pressurize the water and force it out of the discharge hose. If the pressure builds up too high, it can cause damage to the pump or other components of the system, and may also create a safety hazard.

The unloader helps prevent this by regulating the pressure of the water that is being discharged. When the pressure builds up beyond a certain point, the unloader will divert some of the water flow back to the inlet side of the pump, which reduces the pressure of the water that is being discharged. This process is repeated continuously while the pressure washer is in use, ensuring that the pressure stays within a safe range and preventing damage to the system.

There are a variety of different types of unloaders available for pressure washers, including adjustable and non-adjustable models. Adjustable unloaders allow the user to control the pressure of the water being discharged by adjusting the flow of water that is diverted back to the inlet side of the pump, while non-adjustable models are pre-set to a specific pressure level. The choice of unloader will depend on the specific needs of the pressure washing application.
