Window Clean: Traditional

The traditional technique for cleaning windows is done using a squeegee, a bucket, a cleaning solution, and a lint-free cloth. Here are the basic steps involved in traditional window cleaning:

  1. Prepare the solution: Mix a small amount of a cleaning solution with warm water in a bucket. You can use a variety of solutions, including dish soap, vinegar, or window cleaning solution.
  2. Dip the squeegee in the solution: Dip the squeegee in the cleaning solution and wipe it across the top of the window to wet the surface.
  3. Use the squeegee to remove the solution: Starting at the top left corner of the window, pull the squeegee down in a straight line to the bottom of the window. Wipe the blade of the squeegee with a lint-free cloth after each stroke to remove any excess water or dirt.
  4. Dry the window: Use a lint-free cloth to wipe any remaining water or cleaning solution from the edges of the window and the windowsill.
  5. Move on to the next window: Repeat the process on the next window until all windows have been cleaned.

It’s important to use a clean squeegee and cloth for each window to avoid transferring dirt or streaks to other windows. Additionally, it’s important to choose the right cleaning solution and to avoid using abrasive materials that can scratch or damage the surface of the window.
